IELTS Writing Test P2 - Music
It's true that there are a wide variety of music in the world nowadays. We need music because of a range of reasons. And I think both traditional and modern international music play an important role.
People love music not only just for fun but also because it can always affect us both emotionally and physically. Modern science has proved that different music can boost our performance in different environment. For example, when we go jogging, some cheerful music can cheer us up and help us run farther. Another example is that a slow and quiet lullaby make babies go to sleep.
In my opinion, both traditional and international music are important. We all know that traditional music is more classic and elegant which a lot of people enjoy it like tasting some wonderful old wine. Culture and history are expressed by its melody and rhythm. But sometimes traditional music is a little boring especially for the young people who expect something more exciting, which is why I think international music is also important. Pop international music is often more catchy and fun which can become popular in a very short time. People listen to pop music all the time - when on the underground, doing exercises, reading news, doing housework, or before sleep. And the popularity of international music forms a huge market attracting so many companies which somehow contributes to our economy.
In conclusion, music is a necessary part of our life. And we cannot say traditional or international music is more important than another because they both have pros and cons in different conditions.
